Support/Care Worker – Employment Check List
All candidates are required to complete a comprehensive application form and are asked to provide ALL the following documentation. The candidate will also have to attend a face to face interview (Or Video) during the application process.
1. Enhanced https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/dbs-workforce-guidance and clear ISA form completed
2. Passport
3. Visa / work permit ·
4. National insurance card · Driver’s licence · 2 x passport photographs
5. Relevant training certificates. Mandatory Care Training will be provided before you start the job and you will be issued with a certificate. On-going training will then follow.
6. Details of next of kin together with an active emergency contact telephone number
7. Birth certificate / marriage certificate – translated to the English language
8. If Applicable, Immunisation to include Hepatitis B, MMR X2, Varicella and Tuberculosis (if you have this information – we will arrange for you to have the required test please see the occupational health form) ·
9. Occupational Health check / fitness to practice checks
If coming from Abroad
10. Valid Visa/Work Permit showing permission to work in the UK.
11. Police check from country of origin valid within 3 months of taking it, This will be followed by a UK DBS check https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/dbs-workforce-guidance
12. IELTS International English language Testing System Certificate designed to help you as a migrant to UK. This is offered by the British Council in the country of Origin. https://www.gov.uk/guidance/prove-your-english-language-abilities-with-a-secure-english-language-test-selt
13. Nurse Aide Certificate or Nursing Certificate or equivalent, from country of Origin. This will be from a Recognised Healthcare Body and will be verified. Mandatory Care Training will be provided in UK before you start your UK job and you will be issued with a certificate.
14. Police Check from abroad If you are in the UK and have been for 12 months or less
15. We will complete a Home office check – If applicable
16. Full employment history that shows previous 10 years’ employment history with any gaps explained.
Staff will be provided with all mandatory training and refresher courses to ensure that their skills are up to date.
